A investigação participativa no grupo social da infância [The participatory research with the childhood social group]

This text aims to present and discuss methodological possibilities which meet one of the requirements that is set to the Sociology of Childhood: giving voice to children in the interpretation of their social and cultural worlds. Starting with the presupposition that children are able social actors in the interpretation of the social reality in which they are inserted, thus we present methodological possibilities – based in pair work between adults and children - which consider children’s participation as one of the fundamental pillars of all the process. Thus we present some theoretical presuppositions which sustain the importance of considering the children participation as a fundamental principle in the development of children investigation. We also discuss some basic steps in the consideration of an ethical route in the children investigation. Finally, we present some methodological tools which, in our opinion, recuperate the principles and basic ethical aspects in a children investigation process, in the sense of valuing and respecting them as partners in the investigation, in short, valuing them as citizens.
